Sub 100 Dollar 1 Terabyte Hard Drives

Got this email from Newegg and I couldn’t believe that 1TB hard drives were selling for under 100 bucks! It’s pretty amazing, but I would imagine if the economy wasn’t trashed they’d be around $80 more. While you can find a 2TB single unit drive for $300, you’d be much better off picking up two of these 1TB for around $100 and setting up a RAID array, which will be cheaper and give much better performance.
Here are some of the sweet deals I found while perusing the site:

HITACHI 1TB 3.5

HITACHI
Model 0A38016
SATA 3.0Gb/s 1TB
16MB Cache

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 1TB 3.5

SAMSUNG
Model HD103UJ
SATA 3.0Gb/s 1TB
32MB Cache

Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB 3.5

Western Digital
Model WD10EADS
SATA 3.0Gb/s 1TB
32MB Cache
  1. Thats great. I was looking for something like this a month ago and ended up with a 750GB external drive for over £100.

    • I paid $88 with free shipping for the Hitachi. It should be arriving today.
