Terminator Salvation Intro Cinematic

Here’s a kick ass trailer for the new Terminator: Salvation game that will be available on May 19th. I just hope that it’s not your typical rushed POS summer blockbuster turned videogame that we usually see… and it would be really nice if the gameplay looked at least 80% as good as this cinematic.

CoD4 MW2 Teaser

Looks like your typical “we don’t have anything to show you so we’ll just mash up some Splinter Cell green with some FEAR silhouette scariness and call it a trailer” teaser trailer. Ok, maybe not so typical, but it didn’t give any real hints about the stuff we really care about like weapons (am I going to get shot from across the map by some half brain dead 12 year old Canadian wielding some bullet curving sniper rifle from Wanted?) and didn’t answer the question in the back of everyone’s mind: “Will I need a rig that plays Crysis at 1080p in order to run this?”. This is the official site where you can pause the video and analyze it frame by frame if you have nothing better to do.
Nov 10, 2009 should have everyone scrambling to their local Gameslave™, assuming they don’t release any dealbreaker trailers… or forget the fact that this is IW’s last chance to prove themselves in the minds of many a PC gamer (read: this better not suck).

On a completely unrelated note, what the hell is wrong with you people…

EVGA X58 Classified

x58classified

This is the new board from EVGA for the X58 chipset which is, as of this article, exclusive to the i7 chips from Intel. Is it just me or does it look like this image was subject to the hands of a novice photoshopper? Look closely at the “Classified” logo and the red “power button” at the very top of the chipset cooling assembly…

Perhaps one of you has $449.99 USD to blow and would like to show me otherwise? Maybe they’d also like to blow $1000 on the i7 and another $300 on a proper power supply… oh wait, I forgot that this thing is marketed to trust fund babies with nothing better to do than waste money on a motherboard with “slick shiny black” anodized sockets (which will be quite well hidden beneath the HSF) and some fancy Digital PWMs that will never be used to their full potential.

Here’s Bill with the weather.
