Old Games as Digital Artifacts

Archiver wrote an interesting post regarding the potential use of old video games and the like as digital artifacts, to be saved for future generations.

I always kind of viewed this sort of thing as e-junk, having seen hundreds of Atari 2600′s at the flea market and reading this [video] story about all those games being thrown away a while back.

As Archiver says:

So, next time when you see a floppy disk or tape archive lying around, think twice before disposing it and check if it can be of value to the above institutions.

Ultrastats update

Ultrastats, the popular stats parsing utility for CoD games, has been found to have a serious vulnerability that would allow an intruder to gather hashes for admins. It is highly recommended that you upgrade to the latest version immediately. If your admins are slacking off, be sure to let them know so you don’t get hacked!

This version also includes several updates to the Ultrastats engine, and should provide a better experience overall:
